It's hard to throw away a race number. All the work, prepraration and commitment is symbolized by that high-contrast piece of Tyvek. Maybe you had a good result, maybe your goal was to finish. Maybe things didn't work out. But you made it to the start and pinned on the number. It might have been a century, a bicycle race, a 10K or something else.
As it turns out, Tyvek is some pretty tough stuff. It doesn't rip, it's impervious to water. Housing contractors use it. FedEx makes their overnight envelopes with it. Your stack of race numbers in the closet are made with it.
The Race Number windbreaker is great for a variety of uses, including but not limited to event sign in, pasta feeds, press conferences, though we wouldn't recommend racing with it (on grounds of confusing race officials!). We can state without reservation that it is definitely a conversation starter!
